I live in Herston, a hamlet sitting in a sheltered spot alongside Widewall Bay in South Ronaldsay, one of the beautiful islands that make up the county of Orkney. I have been making stained glass panels inspired by the Orkney scenery, nature and culture for the past 17 years and would like to share my passion with both locals and visitors to Orkney.
SPECIAL OFFER FOR DECEMBER AND JANUARY - 20% discount on all artwork on display in the workshop.
I have a selection of stained glass panels on display in my workshop which are for sale. Prices range from £10 to £400. The stained glass has to be seen to be fully appreciated and due to it's weight and fragility I am not currently offering an online/postal service for larger items, contact me on the form below if you would like a smaller piece posted. See my Facebook page for more examples of my work. But all visitors to my workshop will be made very welcome and can purchase any of these items and take them home, well wrapped.
Please use the contact form below if you would like to discuss a stained glass commission.
Join me for a fun filled half or full day course to learn the skills and use glass, lead or copper foil and tools to make your own stained glass panel. These courses are suitable for ages 15 and over, and will suit all artistic abilities. You will have a creative and fun time ending with a great sense of satisfaction as you show off your work, ever afterwards! Please note that these courses will be running until 31 October 2024 after which they will no longer be available.
My workshop sits facing the sea in a sheltered garden. Adjacent is the cottage, which is about 200 years old and was once the cooperage for a thriving herring fishing fleet. It now has all modern amenities for the use of visitors to the workshop.
I can set up a course for any day of the week, but I will be limiting bookings to only one per week. To avoid disappointment you should book in advance, first come first served! Use the contact form below or call me with your preferred date and course type and I can let you know if it is available.
